The "Cherry Springs" Loop - Exploring Ricketts Glen State Park

Ricketts Glen is arguably the most beautiful and famous of all Pennsylvania State Parks and has gained national recognition for the one of its kind - Falls Trail - which features a staggering two dozen named waterfalls and is a national natural landmark. Over the years I have hiked and filmed the Falls Trail many times, but this time I wanted to experience Ricketts Glen beyond the Falls Trail and see what else I might find. In this episode of #natureadventurediscovery we will hike and document the less traveled Cherry Springs Loop which traverses the eastern end of the park. Along the way we will see the now defunct remains of an old concrete dam, pass several unnamed waterfalls, travel through wetlands and Hemlock forests, and walk along scenic Cherry Run. Is there more to Ricketts Glen then just the Falls Trail? Yes, much much more...
