Endometriosis is a non-malignant disease that grows outside the uterus wall into the pelvis of the patient around the ovaries and fallopian tubes and start to grow over there. He explains that in every menstural period, small amount of endometrial tissues bleeds into itself and unlike the uterus, this collection of blood fills up around the ovaries or in the ovaries to form a cyst. This is called a chocoloate cyst as when the cyst is open chocolaty-fluid is present which is altered blood. He further discusses the endometriosis symtoms which are categorised into primary that includes infertility, severe pain during or after periods and secondary symptoms like abdomen pain, painful bowel movement and other lower abdomen issues.
