Dear Sir/Madam, We are pleased to announce that following the success of last year's WAVES (Warsaw Academy of Venous Endolaser and Sclerotherapy) training, we have been encouraged by the European Society for Vascular Surgery to organize another edition of the course, which will take place on April 10-11, 2025. The training will be held in Warsaw and will once again provide an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and practical skills in innovative surgical techniques in vascular surgery and phlebology. This two-day event, organized in the capital of Poland, aims to enhance the expertise of vascular surgeons and phlebologists. Participants will receive hands-on training in highly effective, minimally invasive treatment techniques. This will be the second training of its kind in Poland. The Director, Head of the Scientific Committee, and the initiator of the WAVES project is Dr. Adam Zieliński, a specialist leading the surgical team at doktorA. This year, we are honored to have Dr. Tomasz Pelak joining the project. Dr. Pelak works at MEDICUS Hospital in Lubin and is actively engaged in the ESVS community. The Scientific Committee of the WAVES course also includes experienced doctors from Centrum Medyczne doktorA, such as Dr. Paweł Świercz and Dr. Szymon Lelas. Summary of WAVES 2024 The first edition of WAVES took place on April 11-12, 2024, gathering physicians from various Polish cities and international participants from countries including Slovakia, Romania, Greece, and even Saudi Arabia. The course began with theoretical lectures, covering various minimally invasive vein treatment methods. This was followed by practical workshops, where participants trained on phantoms and simulators under the supervision of experienced instructors. The final part of the training took place at the newly opened doktorA Medical Center at Mokra 39 in Warsaw. Participants were divided into three groups, each led by Dr. Adam Zieliński, Dr. Paweł Świercz, and Dr. Tomasz Pelak. In the procedure rooms, attendees had the unique opportunity to observe and take part in modern varicose vein treatment procedures. We take great pride in the fact that Polish specialists are training other European professionals, proving that Polish healthcare is of the highest standard and can set benchmarks across Europe. The second edition of WAVES will once again be organized under the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS)—the largest association of vascular surgeons in Europe. We look forward to welcoming you to WAVES 2025!
