Hey, guys! You might recognize this piece as "Float Islands", a standard from the Kirby series. This is a little rearrangement that can be heard in the Save Hut from Kirby Super Star. It appears throughout the Smash Bros. series as well. This was another one of those deceptively difficult pieces, particularly with the left hand. I rushed a few notes here and there because playing the octave chords then jumping back up to continue the harmonies, all in the span of an eighth note, was prettty hard, haha. I'd liken it to jumping out of a moving vehicle and trying not to tumble down the highway. My wrists were aching from playing it so much. In any case, I really enjoyed learning it and it's actually a lot of fun to play once you get it down. Jun Ishikawa is such a brilliant composer and even though Kirby music is pretty much always difficult to learn, I never regret it. I had to change a couple of things to make it playable for me on the piano. The most obvious one is cutting out the bass wood flute thing. The other is that I changed the chords in the left hand to a different inversion for the last few measures (when it changes key) because my hands were too close together. I don't think anyone will mind, but I thought I'd mention it in case someone notices and is wondering. I like this piece so much that I might consider doing a fully instrumentated cover in the future and put all the stuff back in that I changed. So I know that I've been saying that the 3rd Final Fantasy video would be out soon for, like, two months now, but I promise it will be this time. It's 90% recorded, I just need to finish up the vocals and get to mixing/editing. I found out that I didn't bruise my rib from coughing (like I'd thought), but actually separated the bone from the cartilage! Woohoo! It's feeling a lot better now so I can get back to singing finally. I'm hoping that it will be out next weekend. With this piano video, I'm going to really try to get back into a consistent upload schedule. The last few months have been really quiet on my channel and I need to do something about it. I've actually got some changes planned for the channel (good ones, I promise) that I will announce in the next week or two. Composed by Jun Ishikawa and arranged by me.
