The 'Heiligenbeeldenmuseum' is a museum located in the Sint Antonius van Padua Church in Kranenburg, municipality of Bronckhorst, Netherlands. The museum has around 2000 statues of saints and was founded in 1999. The collection consists largely of donations from private individuals, monasteries and churches. The museum is run entirely by volunteers (about 75). On either side of the church's central aisle are twelve statues of the apostles, all man-sized. In addition to the name on the pedestal, they can also be recognized by the attributes they are holding. These statues are a donation from a church in Tilburg. It was the second church that Cuypers designed and the oldest church still in existence by the architect. His name is most frequently associated with designing the Amsterdam Central Station and the Rijksmuseum, both in Amsterdam. Tower tour. On the last saturdays of the month, from end March to end October (12:00 to 16:00, it is possible to visit the organ loft, the bell loft and the cross-ribbed vaults above the church via the tower stairs.
