SURGERY DAY VLOG! I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M FINALLY GETTING A DIAGNOSIS! ENDOMETRIOSIS LAPAROSCOPY

Closure. Finally. Surgery Day Vlog, April 2025. I wanted to share this for anyone going in for a laparoscopy. Watching others’ stories and videos about this surgery really helped me prepare and understand and I hope this helps you feel a little less alone if you’re wondering what to expect and how the day might go. (Obviously everyone’s experience will be different, but this was mine) Everything I took to hospital - https://amzn.to/4luAReV After years of symptoms dating back 20+ years when I think about it, missed diagnosis, scans, tests, and so much more I finally had my laparoscopy on Saturday 5th April 2025, and I woke up from surgery to the confirmation of widespread, severe endometriosis from my amazing surgeon who never doubted me for a second. (The relief when you’re finally “heard” is so emotional and relieving.) It’s a lot to take in: relief that we’ve finally diagnosed what it is after so many years of tests, sadness for the time lost & emotional exhaustion from it, but huge hope that this is the start of healing. Mainly I’m just so grateful that I’ve had this surgery and I’m on the road to recovery and hopefully a much better quality of life without chronic pain & illness. I hope if you’re suffering you get the treatment you need. It’s such a hugely underfunded, misunderstood, misdiagnosed (75% of women are misdiagnosed for other conditions such as IBS, cysts) & often dismissed area of medicine, with 1 in 10 women suffering and on average taking 7-10 years to get a diagnosis which is so sad and maddening.
