This has often made it hard to navigate being an artist in the music industry because it can just be so tough going. A few years ago I just really wasn’t sure whether I could keep going because it was getting completely soul destroying and impossible to imagine overcoming the struggle - I was always trying to be different in order to fit into the industry and what I thought it demanded from me. I was talking about this with my good friend Nina and she encouraged me to see my softness as a strength and really lean into it rather than fight it. We wrote ‘Softer’ together and ever since I’ve felt much more myself in what I do and have started carving out my own lil softer corner in the industry and it feels good to be here now releasing the music that came from this space. I feel like the song and the sound of the track really reflects the care free feeling of letting go of that pressure and being happy in your own skin as you are.
