"Service Before Self" chronicles the final events in the creation of the Camden County Police Force, Metro Division. From the formal swearing in of the first group of officers by Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. through the start of neighborhood foot patrols and community policing, to the pledge made throughout the community by Camden Mayor Dana Redd to make the streets of Camden safe for the people who live there, the video shows the courage and commitment of a community and officials at all levels of government to accomplish this innovative and necessary goal. In the final frames, NJ Governor Chris Christie celebrates the creation of the new county police force, the first of its kind in New Jersey, praising city, county and state government for coming together to make it a reality.
