In this meditation, we explore the concept of brahmacharya, one of the Yamas in yoga, which focuses on conservation of energy and avoiding unnecessary effort. When we practice letting go of worry, tension, fear, and anger, we cease wasting energy. We then have energy for the things that truly matter to us, like contributing to family, community and personal peace and health. Practicing this principle can lead to a sense of strength and vital energy, which can be used for a greater good. An affirmation to support this practice, suggested by Joseph LePage from Integrative Yoga Therapy, is included.
