Trop T Test actually tests the serum level of troponin T. Troponin T and I are the cardiac-specific markers of heart attack which indicates myocardial necrosis or myocardial damage. These troponins rise with 3-12 hours from the onset of chest pain and heart attack symptoms. Troponin T peaks at 24-48 hours and returns to baseline within 5-14 days from the onset of cardiac symptoms.
