In the canoe and portaging we explore the forgotten wilderness area of Loch Alva, NB, nestled in the mountains in southern New Brunswick, Canada. On day 3 of our trip we leave Loch Alva lake and head north through Ogden and Little John Lakes, setting up a makeshift basecamp with our tents for Day 4's long hike to Turtle Mountain. This is what wilderness adventure looks like when you have too little information as we get mixed upd and have to back track all while lugging our heavy packs trying not to give into discouragement and turning what should have been an easy day into a much longer and more difficult one!
