How to improve feed efficiency? Feeding dairy cows pasture for milk production

Over the years we have made a lot of observations around pasture management and dairy cow feeding. But after looking at last seasons herd test (milk) results we decided we needed to look further into feed allocation and its impact on overall feed efficiency. In this video we share the thought process behind the feed experiment we are running this year. In the next few months we will start sharing what we have observed and if there is any changes in milk production, health, fertility and whether or not we have more hay and silage than previous years. This is very much a work in progress so we are excited to invest some attention and time, and see what we can learn on this farming journey!
