SOUNDBITE (English) General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistani President: "Pakistan rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and it has fully co-operated with the international coalition against terrorism in that spirit. We have discussed in detail the situation obtaining between India and Pakistan. I have informed the prime minister of the dangerous military build-up on our borders and the beligerants statements eminating from India. I have also made known our policy of restraint and responsibility. Both of us have underlined the need to defuse the present crisis and to begin the dialogue between India and Pakistan in the pursuit of peace, harmony and good willingness." 6. Cutaway press 7. SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Blair, British Prime Minister: "The president has given a very clear statement that he rejects terrorism in all its forms and it is important therefore that any groups that are sponsoring acts of terrorism like those on the 1st of October and 13th of December have no place in their support in any civilised society and I believe that is the position of the president and I welcome that." 8. Wide shot of Blair and Mushaffaf leaving the presser STORYLINE: Pakistan's leader on Monday said his country rejected terrorism "in all its forms and manifestations" after talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. General Pervez Musharraf also said he would be addressing his country in the next few days on what further steps he would take in relation to terrorism. He also promised to analyse a list of 20 terror suspects India claimed Pakistan was harbouring. The apparent breakthrough in the international bid to diffuse tension between India and Pakistan which has brought the region to the brink of war came after talks in the Pakistan capital of Islamabad.
