This was another in a series of our "early bird" trips. Since our destination was close to the city, it is easily accessible to almost every ordinary person living in Bratislava. Even in the early morning. The bird observatory was in a deplorable condition, but it was still possible to climb it with a little caution. In the morning sun, we had the opportunity to see the local common bird species. We were pleasantly surprised by the presence of one less common animal species, resembling a seal, guess which :-). Later, we moved to the second animal observatory in Čunovo, which was already in a better, although not flawless condition. The protected area of Ostrovné lúčky pleased us with its mere presence, just like the Čunovo lakes did. We ended the trip at the Rusovce castle (now under reconstruction), but die-hard fans of culture should not miss Gerulata with Roman monuments, located just a little further.
