Cause: Your pets Genetics or their Diet GENETICS: certain breeds include Bichons, Mini Schnauzers, Shihtzu’s, Yorkie’s, Labradors, Dachshunds and Poodles are genetically prone to having alkaline pH. It's just genetic and nothing you did! 🐶DOGS: Number 1️⃣: Dog's develop struvite crystals primarily due to Bacterial Urinary tract infections (UTIs). So treating their UTI with antibiotics is the only to clear up the bladder of urease producing bacteria and stop the struvite’s from forming if they are genetically not making them! Number 2️⃣: If they are Genetic Stones and Crystals you will need to feed a special Veterinary prescription Diet to create the perfect urine PH for them so stones cant form. 🐱CATS Number 1️⃣: MOST Feline Struvite stones are “sterile” – no bacteria present in the urine and the main cause for their Struvites is their DIET or again Genetic predisposition, and lastly UTI’s.
