Let’s talk about Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria Germany. This absolute beauty was said to be built (financed) from 1869-1886 by King Ludwig the II of Bavaria. In today’s video we will look at the oldest known images of Neuschwanstein, including colorized interior shots from the early 1900’s, interior shots from the late 1800’s, and exterior shots, both modern, and during what is said to be “construction”. What the narrative weaves around, is the fact Neuschwanstein is built on top of the ancient, apparently completely demolished, remains of an even older massive fortification. Join me today to discuss exactly what I believe this means, as we look at King Ludwig the II, his intricate relationship with Richard Wagner, and how Wagner may have been influential in the narrative we have been presented with today. Diving headfirst into the oldest photographs of Neuschwanstein, I’d also like to hear any details from the images that stand out to you in the comments down below. I’d also love to hear your opinion on this astounding achievement of a structure overall. Please hit the thumbs up if you enjoy this content, and be sure to check out my other videos for more Old World inspiration! What do you think is the true nature of the monumental castle Neuschwanstein? Let’s discuss.
