Keith has never been so excited and scared at the same time!!! The day had finally arrived... his first-day skiing since his ACL surgery. In February 2019 Keith tore his ACL while skiing at Powder Mountain. Later, at the end of April 2019, Keith finally had surgery to replace his torn ACL, repair fragmented cartilage, and perform a patella release. That's quite a lot of work to perform all at the same time!!! This surgery led to 6 weeks non-weight-bearing on crutches which was followed by another 7 months of consistent physical rehabilitation. This took quite a toll on Keith, both mentally and physically. Finally, in December 2019, Keith was given the green light by both his surgeon and physical therapist to attempt to ski again. We were both extremely excited and nervous. What will happen if Keith falls? Will Keith end up back in physical therapy or worse, require additional surgery? Would Keith even have the muscle control and stability to ski at all? These questions would soon be answered. As Keith approached the top of the easiest beginner slope at Solitude Mountain Resort his nerves began to peak. Keith had assumed that his ski day would consist of mainly pizza and french fries (if you are a skier... you know what I am talking about). However, to both of our surprise, Keith almost immediately began making parallel turns which eventually led to actual carving turns. This was absolutely amazing!!! This result proved that all of Keith's hard work throughout the past 7 months was completely worth it. Throughout the remainder of the day, Keith continued to progress around the mountain. Keith mainly focused on stability, control, and speed management throughout the day. Eventually, Keith decided that it was time to stop. His knee was throbbing and his muscles were aching. This was to be expected considering that he hadn't used his muscles in this way in nearly a year. Overall, the day was a complete success and we both couldn't be happier with his progress. Be sure to subscribe to our channel to follow Keith's progression throughout the season. #skivlog2020 #skivlog #skivlogger #aclrupture #tornacl #acl #keithandlindsey #solitude #solitudemountainresort #skiutah #goprohero7black #gopro Our Ski Gear GoPro Hero 7 Black: https://amzn.to/2Aszh8p GoPro Super Suit: https://amzn.to/2s83sNI GoPro Rechargeable Batteries (x3): https://amzn.to/2LL4tUE Micover Stickover-Mini Universal Windscreen: https://amzn.to/2VqOpvS Stuntman Chest Mount: https://amzn.to/2GZtDjA Ortovox Cross Rider Backpack: https://amzn.to/2SzoG2i Ortovox Avalanche Shovel + Pocket Spike: https://amzn.to/2R6Soz0 Ortovox Avalanche Probe: https://amzn.to/2Su8HT7 Camelbak 3L Reservoir: https://amzn.to/2VnCPBC Nordica Enforcer 100 Skis: https://amzn.to/2CKpR9Q Armada Invictus 108 Skis: https://amzn.to/2VmL54S Volkl 90Eight Women's Skis: https://amzn.to/2Sw2m9S Our Blog https://www.keithandlindsey.com Social Media Facebook: / keithandlindsey Instagram: / keithandlindsey2017 Twitter: / keithandlindsey Pinterest: / keithandlindsey0567 Solitude Mountain Resort https://www.solitudemountain.com/
