CREDO®LAMP series are plant-derived preservative with the chemical formula of Dodecylamino -1,2-Propanediol (INCI: Lauramino Propylene Glycol), which is a 1,2-alkanediol structure derived from palm or coconut. Dodecylamino-1,2-Propanediol controls microbes by a mechanism that damages the microbial cell wall. Therefore, it is much safer for people and the environment than commercial preservatives. Most preservatives on the market today control microbes by biological methods based on genetic action. Therefore, it is harmful to people and the environment. However, the LAMP series are relatively safe methods of inhibiting microorganisms because they selectively damage only the microbial cell wall.
