Radical surgical treatment of stage II and III non-small cell lung cancer is a complex and urgent issue. Standard types of operations include lobectomy, bilobectomy, and pneumonectomy. The role of bronchoplastic operations in the treatment of IIB and III A stages is undoubtedly very important. Operations of this kind are not used in routine oncological practice and are performed in high-level world clinics. The results of the study show that the three-year survival rate is higher in the main study group. All patients in both the main and control groups needed the same time from the time of surgery to discharge. During the entire period of the study, a low number of complications was recorded, compared to global data. These complications did not affect the long-term results of treatment and did not lead to significant negative consequences for life or health. The aim of our study was to establish whether bronchoplastic lobectomy is a more dangerous and oncologically justified operation than standard pneumonectomy. We can conclude about the superiority of bronchoplastic operations in comparison with standard ones, the results of our study demonstrate the safety of this type of surgical intervention and the prospects for further use in the clinic.
