7.2GHz Intel 980X Runs Again :D - A Quick Test on Rampage III Formula

There was a known issue with Gulftown CPUs that if you disable the physical cores of the CPU the CPU can easily degrade or even die permanently very quickly. I tried this as the last option in my final session with this CPU and I saw a huge drop in core frequencies quickly so I quickly stopped the session. Now after sitting ages on my table I wanted to try it out of curiosity on my new Rampage III Formula which I obtained recently and as I was testing other CPUs at the same time with it. The CPU does run fine, and at exactly the same level as in the very beginning. The speed it was able to run when I originally received it was around 4.8GHz with 1.4v in WPrime 32M. On the video I run it a couple of times and it does run fine so no visible damage what-so-ever on the CPU. I want to try it later again on LN2 and see how it does as there is still undiscovered things about this CPU generation.
