This routine combines my method and presentation of Chris Wardle’s “Triple Match” from Self-Working Wonders (2023) with Barrie Richardson’s “Truth to Tell” from Theater of the Mind (1999). Mr. Wardle’s method requires gaffed coins. At the conclusion of the effect, one gaff remains in the participant’s rear pants pocket. If the participant removes the coin from their back pocket, they will instantly see the gaff and loudly announce its attributes to everyone within earshot. If the performer removes the gaff from their back pocket, he will justifiably get slugged or arrested. My method uses normal coins and avoids all that ugliness.
