This is a demo of the servicing and repair an antique GE Fan that had a noise issue. The armature was sliding back and forth through the bearings and banging against the back of the oscillation gearbox. Upon diagnosis, the following additional issues were identified and fixed: Dried up grease in gearbox Frayed and exposed power cord wires Grease in the oilers and damaged wicks Basic cleaning required in motor housing The purpose of this video is to demonstrate the troubleshooting steps used, and to educate others interested in learning the servicing processes used.
