Many Veterans are overwhelmed as they transition from military life to civilian life, and even through the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), there are many benefits and services available to Veterans that they don't always avail themselves of. Paul works with a team of specialists trained and certified to walk Veterans through the process of receiving health benefits, insurance, disability claims, job placement, housing assistance, and more. Paul recognizes the enormous sacrifice that veterans have made to serve the country and tries to do whatever is possible to ensure that veterans receive the needed support and benefits. Paul works throughout the five congressional districts in Connecticut and within each district, there is an office dedicated to service the Veterans throughout that region. Recently, the district hired two additional staff members to help support veterans throughout the state. There are always opportunities and options to help better support Veterans. Going away for many years and coming back to your old surroundings and people you used to interact with can be very challenging. Paul and his team of dedicated staff try to make it a little easier for the Veterans throughout the transition to civilian life. There are always opportunities to volunteer.
