Coal Train Operations from Newman Coal in Blueridge, W.V. to Pond Run Terminal, Part 1.
This time we are exploring coal train operations from The Newman Coal Facility near Blue Ridge West Virginia and following it to Pond Run. The action actually starts in Livingston Yard where an empty coal train is pulling in from Pond Run that was emptied the night before. We are going to pick up the action from there as it makes its way back to the Ridgeline Subdivision for another load and then return to Pond Run. This is 1 of many coal trains that serve the region from other coal plants and we will cover all of them in future videos. Part 2 of this video will cover how coal is transferred from car to ship and that video is coming soon.
