All manner of curios wash up on the Thames foreshore at low tide. You never quite know what you will find next. When I spotted a wooden object lying on the mud from a distance, I recognised it instantly as an ancient comb used for delousing heads full of nits hundreds of years ago! On this little mudlarking outing I also find a military button and some other little Thames stocking fillers! (This was a little mudlarking outing which I managed to fit in before doing a little bit of Christmas shopping Greenwich). In the second half of this video I visit one of the oldest junk shops in London - The Greenwich Junk Shop. I had a chat with Tobias Moy who now runs it although it has been a family run business since the 1960s. It's a real cabinet of curiosities and Tobias showed me a few of his favourite items. I"ve always thought that rummaging around in junk shops is a little like mudlarking - only less muddy! You can find the website of the Greenwich Junk Shop here:- https://junkshopandspreadeagleantique... Thank you for watching. Comments and feedbank most welcome and I try to answer as many as possible. You can follow me on @tidelineart for more mudlarking finds on twitter and instagram. Have a super week and see you soon. Nicola Nicola White www.tidelineart.com #mudlarking #nicolawhite #greenwich
