The driver, Eric Hadley, fled because he had an outstanding $50,000 felony warrant stemming from a 2021 charge of possession of 117 ecstasy pills. He did not appear for court. Additionally, he was taken to court for child support of his 3 young boys back in 2020 where he, again, did not appear. Trooper's Report: On February 13, 2026, at approximately 6:39 pm, I (Trp. N. Jynes) was traveling east on 13th Ave. As I proceeded past the 4- way stop sign at 13th Ave/S Cypress St, I observed a vehicle in front of me with Nevada temporary tags NY-662-759 that had expired (11/2/2025). I got behind the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, activating my emergency lights at 13th Ave/Locus St. I approached the vehicle on the passenger's side. As I passed the taillight, I observed a black male behind the driver's seat. After I passed the passenger taillight, the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed, turning south onto Locust St. I got into my vehicle and initiated a pursuit. I observed the vehicle turning west onto 14th Ave and immediately turning south onto Plum St., speeds reaching 49mph in a 30mph residential area. While traveling south on Plum St, I observed the vehicle failing to obey the stop signs at W 15th Ave and W 16th Ave intersections. After passing W 16th Ave, the vehicle turned east on 17th Ave. As I turned onto 17th Ave, the vehicle was wrecked, having collided with a tree in the front yard of 1520 W 17th Ave. As I exited my vehicle, I could see through the driver's window that the driver was gone (fled on foot). As I cleared the vehicle, I noticed the front passenger seat was still occupied by a black female, later identified as Aurianah Martin. I got Mrs. Martin out of the vehicle, and she was detained in the back of my unit. I asked Mrs. Martin, while in my vehicle, for the driver's name. She advised me that the driver was Eric Hadley and that they are dating. The vehicle was towed, and an administrative inventory was conducted. Sgt. Preston discovered a black wallet in the driver's side door panel. Inside the wallet was an AR Identification card with Eric Hadley's name, date of birth, and photo. Sgt. Preston presented Mrs. Martin with the AR Identification card, and she confirmed that the AR ID belonged to the driver, Mr. Hadley. I will be submitting a felony case file to the prosecutor's office for 27-14-306: FICTITIOUS TAGS, 5-54-125(d)(2) 2023: FLEEING - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - EXCEEDING THE SPEED LIMIT, 5-54-125(c): FLEEING - ON FOOT,27-16-303: DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE, 27-22-104: NO LIABILITY INSURANCE, 27-14-701: OWNER FAIL TO REGISTER VEHICLE - EXPIRED TAGS, and 27-51-601(d): FAIL TO OBEY STOP SIGN.
