How to Convert dry maize stovers,ricestraws,hay and anyother dry grass/hay into nutritious feed for your cows, goats and sheep. 1. Select and chop/mash clean dry maizestovers into small pieces preferrably an inch or maximum 3cms long. 2. Deep/ soak these chopped stovers into some fresh water to reintroduce moisture this can be for aminute or less 3. Spread this on q flat surface or turpline and then mix it with other milled/ chopped stovers 4. Mix 1liter of MolaPlus Livestock Microbes in 2liters of Molasses and mix these in 20litres of fresh/raw water and mix thoroughly . Transfer contents into 20ltrs knapsack sprayer 5. Spray the mixture ontop your chopped stovers taking care to ensure that atleast all the stovers get afeel of the molaplus livestock microbes and mix thoroughly. 6. Start packing and compacting these into your silo for this case we shall use a plastic drum. 7. Continue putting your chopped and mixed stoveres into the plastic drum and compact it while expelling any trapped air and reducing airspaces until when the drum gets full. 8. Cover the plastic drum with an airtight cover ensuring the no air gets into our silo. 9. You choose to sprinkle some wheatbran/maizebran/maizegerm whenever you make about 15cms in the drum this will quicken fermentation and better the quality of haylage you will make. 10.
