It was going to be hot, and it was, 35°C. I had planned to walk to the end of the 10R Fire Trail and spend the day by the waterhole to see what came for a drink or a splash, and maybe have a swim myself. Interesting signage on the 10 Fire Trail gate led me to change my plans and end up following a freshly cut track marked with fluoro tape. This got me almost two kilometres into previously inaccessible country. I came across some large rock platforms that need more exploration. One platform seemed to have a permanent stream flowing over it, and it had the deepest rock pools I'd seen on a non-marine platform. Now my mission was to follow the fluoro tape to the end, which I did. I hope to get back soon to explore the places that this track has opened up before the bush reclaims it.
