The Lancashire Tourism Awards is the biggest and only county-wide celebration of tourism excellence in Lancashire. Hear from one of our award winners - The Flower Bowl. Most recent figures (2021) show that Lancashire’s visitor numbers had grown back to 75% of pre-covid levels (the county attracted 68.74million visitors in 2018), and 80% of economic impact (the sector contributed £4.41 billion to the local economy and helped support over 60,700 jobs before covid hit). These are positive results, outperforming other parts of the Northwest, and are testament to the resolve, resilience and determination of Lancashire businesses and organisations. We are on the road to recovery. And as we look forward towards a new tourism growth strategy for the county and applying for LVEP status, these awards celebrate the resilience of the tourism sector in Lancashire as the industry redefines itself to deliver exceptional visitor experiences and build on previous visitor numbers. The awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of visitor economy businesses, revealing the brightest and best stars working in Lancashire tourism today, with many of the county’s winners then going on to represent Lancashire at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
