An epic ride through Northern Spain. Part 10 - Picos de Europa on my BMW R1250 GSA

The 12th day from an epic ride on my BMW R1250 GSA through northern Spain - Picos de Europa at its best! I had four weeks to complete a "circle" from Alicante up north, to follow the Pyrenees, continue to Picos de Europa and the western corner of Spain and south through northern Portugal and back to Alicante. This day should turn out to be one of the best and most spectacular rides on the tour. Basecamp for today was a hotel in Cangas de Onís. The legendary As-264 up to and past Sotres is stunningly beautiful. Riding the remaining part of the gravel road between Espinama and Sotres added to the success of the day, not to mention the scenic road up to the glacier lakes of Covadonga.
