Time to follow the route to Darkwood for the Trader Quest, but first there's a stop at Hobbe Cave. There's a Demon Door outside that requires a Combat Multiplier of 14. There's some cheaper ways to do this, you can come back with Skorm's Bow later in the game, or you can use Physical Shield, but I decided to use the opportunity to actually do more combat. Inside there's a chest in one of the side rooms so take it. If you're not using one of the "cheap" methods, you'll want to gain enough kills to gain the Renown for tougher enemies to spawn. The Mages are a nuisance with the starting enemies, and you won't gain as much multiplier. When the larger Hobbes spawn they're easier and give a larger multiplier, and a few of the mages disappear. You'll get a few run throughs to attempt this before Mages spawn in and it makes it more difficult again. The successful run with them entering starts around 23:00. Leave with around 17-18x multiplier as you'll lose a few in transition between screens and you'll be able to take out the Hobbes out and have a 14-15x multiplier, with 14x being enough to satisfy the Demon Door and open it. Inside you'll find the Cutlass Bluetane, a massive upgrade to the already good weapon we have, and will do as a melee weapon for quite some time. Afterwards I head back into Hobbe Cave and to the back to the room I left out. At the back by a circle of mushrooms you can find another Silver Key. In Darkwood you'll find the two traders, and a third Trader introduces himself although the others think he's infected. Taking him on board is the good option. On the next screen there's a Demon Door, but it's best to ignore it until the Traders are no longer following you. At the Lake you get ambushed by bandits. Shoot at the the centre of the hole on the rock with a hole in it for a Silver Key. There's a rest point at Darkwood Camp and the path to the Chapel of Skorm, which we'll use a bit later. At the Ancient Cullis Gate the third trader will turn into a Balverine and we have to kill him. At the bridge near the end there's a Fishing Spot for another Silver Key. In the Weir there's a Troll right at the end so leave the Traders behind. Next up you'll finally finish the Quest. There's a Demon Door in the SE that requires you to be obese. Eat Meat, or Beer, or Apple Pie until you unlock the Definitely Not on Rails achievement, this means you'll be fat enough to open the Demon Door. Head inside for a Will Masters Elixir. Head into Grey's House and you can claim an Ages of Skill and Will Potion. There's a related achievement for using an Ages Potion with a combat 20x multiplier. This is a good metric of when to use any of them. The potion gives 1,000 x your combat multiplier in the relevant experience. There's a demon door here and some annoying fairies that took me a while to kill. The Demon Door here requires you to marry Lady Grey, which we'll do much later in the game. There's also a pond with another Silver Key to fish. At this point I head back to the Demon Door I skipped over whilst I had the Traders with me. You need to fight a few waves of Hobbes to be granted access, where you can find the Will User Dark Robes Set that we'll need for a Demon Door. Head back to the Heroes' Guild where I level up for the next part. 0:00 - Bowestone South 6:50 - Hobbe Cave 27:50 - Demon Door 4/12 33:30 - SIlver Key 8/30 37:00 - Trader Escort 44:05 - Silver Key 9/30 52:35 - SIlver Key 10/30 58:30 - Demon Door 5/12 1:03:30 - Grey House 1:12:20 - Silver Key 11/30 1:21:50 - Demon Door 6/12
