This video is meant as an exhaustive overview of many different types of trident killers and my rambling thoughts on the pros and cons for the various styles of trident killers. 2x2 conventional designs: Usable and reliable for most mobs and most farms. Impaling and water delivery possible, or works with fall damage. Issues with bouncing mobs or flying mobs. Can be outpaced by other dedicated builds. Requires mobs to come to it. trapdoor head tks: trap door placement is directional, requires extra planning to be relog proof. Can be built to be the fastest possible. Typically the least lag for a trident killer. Easy access to tridents. Can be built at spawn spots or have mobs brought to it. head trapdoor tk's broken as of 1.21.90 but fixed in 1.21.92 Piston head tks: Easier builds, fully relog proof in 2/4 directions. Decent kill speeds. Easy access to tridents. Can be built at spawn spots or have mobs brought to it. Bouncing piston tks: Most relog proof on older versions, slightly slower than horizontal piston designs and currently less relog proof. Otherwise similar in capability to horizontal piston head tks. Trapcart: Modification to trapdoor or piston tk designs. Can hold problem mobs in place for efficient kill speeds. suffers from delays due to mob deaths. Potentially tricky design requirements to hold cart or boat in place. Can be built at spawn spots. Often better option for problem mobs or flying mobs when mixed in with other mob types as well. Not usually viable for extremely small mobs. Shifting floor: Good for large kill areas or extremely large mobs like slimes or magma cubes. Most laggy and slowest tk option.
