In an address at the Alumni Weekend, June 2-3, President Scott Sunquist said, “Humility makes it possible for GOD to work in this world.” He was reflecting on his 4 years as President and his baptism in humility. “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (I Peter 5: 6; Prov. 3: 34) Dean Borgmann (that same day!) said virtually the same thing, “Birth into God’s Kingdom is not only an event but a process demanding repentance, humility and trust.” I. The Doomed Shadow Kingdom of Satanic Arrogance and Pride See Rev. 12: 3: “Empire building is always doomed to destruction.” “Bites like a snake and ruins with its sweet poison,” Sean McDonough King Crimson: “21st Century Schizoid man” “Pictures of a City” Utter Decay and inward corruption! Beyond Repair?! The shadow Kingdom of Satanic Pride and arrogance is an illusion and is always short-lived because its foundations is built on untruth and lies. The Invincible Fire and Breath of God and His Eternal Kingdom “The Lawless One will be exposed at the Proper time.” II Thess. 2: 8) See Psalms 93: 1,2; 94: 20-23; 97: 2 Hebrews 12: 2, JESUS “sat down at the Right hand of the Throne of GOD.” Hebrews 12: 28,29 (Deut. 4: 24; warning against idolatry) The Shadow Kingdom of Satan destroyed by the Eternal Kingdom of Jesus! II Thess. 2: 8: “And the Lawless One will be revealed whom the LORD Jesus will overthrow with the breadth of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming.” The Two Prophetic Witnesses (See Revelation 11: 11) God can rescue those who have been mistreated and killed and raise them; The Two End time Prophetic Witnesses “The Breath of Life from God entered them” (Rev. 11: 11; 2:7) POINTS OF APPLICATION: 1. Two kingdoms are growing side by side; one kingdom will perish and forever be gone from the face of the earth; Another greater Kingdom will ultimately flourish and Reveal Truth, Love, Humility and Perfect Justice. 2. Begin each morning with prayer and continue praying throughout the day! “Let Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.” 3. Today is the Day of Salvation but tomorrow will reveal the Sovereign Reign and Rule of Jesus on the earth!
