9:09-9:12AM. This morning, I made a crazy decision to film at the Stewart Ave crossing in Bethpage in the coldest weather I have ever recorded a train in. 4ºF with a wind chill of -15ºF. I barely missed filming the first M7 set. It is barely seen in the beginning of this video as train 7923 Ronkonkoma to Penn Station, The 2nd set is train 7918 from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma. and the 3rd is a westbound dead head equipment move. The bells here are working great for these bitter cold temperatures. Kids, do not try this at home. I wouldn't recommend anyone to film trains in these Artic temperatures because I forgot my heavy gloves in the car and my hands were almost frozen within like less than a minute. I had to switch what hand I held my camera in back and forth every like 15 seconds and put my right hand then left hand in my pockets. I usually hold my camera in my right.
