Trained in the arts under Rameshar Broota at Triveni Kala Sangam, her first solo exhibition at Art Heritage, 'Cognizance' was in 2005, and marked a clear consolidation of her genre within abstraction. She has also had solo shows at The Queen’s Gallery, British Council and Art Konsult. Her practice explores a multitude of mediums including drawings, paintings, photography, artist books and video. Kavita’s works can be found in several collections including The National Gallery of Modern Art (New Delhi), The Alkazi Collection of Contemporary Art, The British Museum and The British Council (New Delhi) to name a few. She has participated in several International shows including the Chelsea International Art Exhibition in New York. About Art Heritage: Located in New Delhi, Art Heritage was started in 1977 by the late Roshen and Ebrahim Alkazi. Our current director is Amal Allana. Rooted in education, our founders utilized the gallery space to showcase young and emerging artists and support mid-career artists, and bring new insights into the works of the Masters.
