Before we begin, let me be the first one to say, Happy New Year everyone! Hope your 2026 is going off to a wonderful start like mines so far! I just can’t believe that 2025 is now over and 2026 is officially here! Ok, so I know the 2025 holiday season is officially over and a lot of us like myself are pretty upset that it’s over. But it’s not over yet because we have to continue on with this holiday project before we say goodbye to Christmas and the holiday season. Allright, jokes aside and let’s continue with this holiday project even though it’s the 1st of January. Allright, we’re now going to enter into the wonderful world of Rankin Bass Productions to check out 6 of their holiday specials that were a smasher of a hit. First off, we have to time travel way back to the year 1964, when a company by the name of Videocraft International, now known today as Rankin Bass Productions, decided to create this beloved holiday special about a reindeer who has a shiny red nose and later it would make its TV debut. Over the years this famous reindeer himself would become a superstar overnight and back then it would become a huge smashing success. This also helped this beloved reindeer get a New Year’s special back in the late 70s and many years later would have a crossover with Frosty the Snowman dating way back to 1980. And he has a theme park named after himself with lots of merchandise, toys, books, video games & more. And just 2 years ago in 2024, we celebrated the holiday special’s 60th anniversary. Of course I’m talking about one of the most iconic, most beloved Reindeer of all time, Rudolph! And he’s here to celebrate the holiday season with you guys even though we’re just a few days late. So let’s go hang out with Rudolph & all of his reindeer friends as we go play some reindeer games with him, have some jolly fun, & sing some classic songs that we all come to know and love from the special as we do the 2005 DVD opening to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. 1.
