First 2400 Mile Road Trip in the LMTV

In this video we drive our LMTV 2400 miles to Louisville Kentucky to see Trax Off Grid to have a habitat installed. I didn't fill up when I got to Trax off grid so I calculated to the fill up right before we got there. held speeds between 60 and 65 MPH almost the whole way. There was a 50 mile section of dirt road (took a detour to check out some farm land) where we averaged 45 but other than that we held where the truck drove the smoothest. It really wants to go 55 or 65. 57 to 63 you still get a fair amount of wheel shake. although that started smoothing out by the time we put about 2k miles on the truck. I'm hoping with some weight that will calm down some more.... right about the time I need to put another set of tires on it. :) with no weight on the back of the truck we burned off about an 1/8" to 3/16" of rubber from the rear tires on the drive compared to the fronts. Total Miles added on the Odometer was 2,292.3 Miles Total Fuel consumed: 305.678 Gallons which gives us an average fuse consumption around: 7.499 MPG You can follow along on some of the build videos on Trax Off Grid's YouTube channel (maybe if he has time) Get back to work Steve!!!
