A joyful piano solo arrangement of the traditional French Christmas carol Il est né le divin enfant (EN: The holy child was born). The blocked chords mimic the sounds of church bells, so be sure to use continuous pedal throughout the arrangement (and refresh as needed). After the introduction, the right hand continues to ring those church bells while the left hand plays the melody in the middle register along with the occasional bass line. Half way through the arrangement you will hear a direct modulation to the relative key of B minor followed by a chromatic sequence leading into the new key of D flat major.
