We SUPERSIZED the Nantucket Mini Charm bag! SIMPLE Step-by-Step Tutorial using your 5" Charm Packs!

This is the 14th video in our Charm Pack series! When i was making the Nantucket mini charm bag, I wondered how big it would be made from 5" squares instead of 2 1/2" squares. Now I know and so will you! Enjoy! Watch all the way to the end to see three finished samples! The finished size of the bag is 8" deep x 15" wide x 10" tall. There's also an update on the number of charm packs I currently have. Use Christmas Charm Packs to make an amazingly simple holiday gift bag and gift all in one! Cut your stash into 5" squares to make scrappy bags! Leave off the zipper and just bind the top edge to make a toy bag for a special little someone! So many ways to use this bag! I'm obsessed with charm packs! Those cute little bundles of fabric have so many uses and are easy to buy! You can get the whole line of fabric in 5" squares to try out a new designer or color palette. My collection keeps growing instead of getting smaller so I need to start using them before the pile I have overwhelms me! Fortunately there are hundreds of awesome projects that use charm packs to make anything from full sized quilts to baby quilts to bags and more! We will be using charm packs for all of the projects in this series of videos. But leftover fabrics from projects cut into 5" squares will also work! Most of the videos will include a sample made from a charm pack (or two or three or more) AND some of the videos will include a second sample made from scrappy leftovers. Make your own charm packs! Cut up your stash and create your own charm packs using fabric you already own. One fat quarter can be cut up to make 12 five inch squares. A third of a yard of fabric can be cut up to make 16 five inch squares. When you finish a project, if you have leftover yardage, cut it into five inch squares and start a pile to use for future projects. Have some fun with your stash of fabrics!
