The Cedars-Sinai Urology Residency is a five-year program that is designed to prepare future urologists for a career in academic or community urology. The program consists of an intern year in General Surgery at Cedars-Sinai, followed by four years in Urology, which includes a six-month research rotation. Residents receive training in all areas of urology, including the following: General urology, Reconstructive urology, Female urology/urodynamics, Uro-oncology, Pediatric urology, Endourology, Laparoscopic urology surgery, Robotic surgery, Andrology and male infertility The Urology Residency is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for two residents per year. A system of graduated responsibility is used to advance the residents' clinical and surgical skills. Senior residents participate in teaching more junior residents.
