An understated yet beautifully crafted bag, the Verrou is a must have for Hermes collectors in my humble opinion. It’s one of those if you know, you know type of bags and one you will not see very often at events which makes me like it even more. This bag was originally introduced in 1938 as a clutch. Hermes added the shoulder version in 2010 and then the mini version in 2017/2018. The beautiful bolt hardware is inspired by the locks in horse stables giving tribute to Hermes’ equestrian history. And in case you are wondering, the word Verrou means lock in French. This is a bag that if you were to give it a try, it would steal your heart.
