This lecture is on the Introduction to Material Modeling and Elasticity which is delivered by Dr. Mousumi Mukherjee. This lecture is an introductory session to material modeling. It discusses various aspects pertinent to the elastic analysis of granular media. Dr. Mukherjee is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India. She has obtained her PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur which was followed by a postdoc from University of Adelaide, Australia. Her research interest includes Constitutive modeling of frictional material, Soil instability analysis, DEM-based micro-mechanical modelling of granular media and Numerical modeling of large deformation problem like debris flow.
