Spring interest is already taking shape as I tuck new bulbs into my garden beds, nestled right between the roses for next year’s early color. These pops of spring bloom will weave through the Hillside and terrace beds, waking everything up long before the first flush. I also added a fresh Color Your Grass section for an extra burst of brightness, and the new Welcome Garden is getting its own display of daffodils that will glow against the pathways and lavender. It feels good knowing these choices will carry the garden through those early, chilly New England days. While I was filming, a Tufted Titmouse dropped in and sang its clear, cheerful call like it wanted to approve the plan. Moments like that make all the fall planting worth it.
