This video presents a 20-minute summary of House of the Dragon (Season 1), told entirely in High Valyrian and illustrated with images and video excerpts from the show. Optional subtitles are available in English and in High Valyrian (select “Latin”!). Fans of the series and of George R. R. Martin’s universe can enjoy this story retold in the ancient language of Valyria—still spoken within House Targaryen and preserved by some maesters and religious orders. This video is also intended as a resource for learners of High Valyrian, whether beginners or more advanced students. The relatively advanced level of language used here is not meant to discourage, but rather to inspire and motivate learning. The existence of original content in High Valyrian beyond the canonical dialogues of the shows is meant to encourage further study of the language.
