Jim’s Story | From Devastating Fall to Life-Changing Support | Band of Builders & Murray Landscapes

In April 2023, Jim Gallacher, a North Lanarkshire roofer, suffered life-changing injuries after falling 8 metres from scaffolding while at work. The accident left him with severe injuries and facing an uncertain future. What followed was an incredible show of support from the construction community. Through the outstanding work of Band of Builders, volunteers came together to complete building works at Jim’s Bellshill home that he had been unable to finish. The project included improvements to his extension and driveway, helping restore safe access and independence. Marc Murray Managing Director of Murray Landscapes was honoured to support and help lead the project alongside a team of dedicated local trades. This video shares Jim’s experience, the impact of the accident, and what it meant to have the industry rally around him during one of the most difficult periods of his life.
