The Yonkers PD Entrance Exam will be held on September 20, 2025. We’re accepting applications through July 25, 2025. Those interested are directed to joinYPD.com for the official exam announcement, downloadable application, and all information needed to apply! Basic eligibility requirements: -Applicants must be 17 to 42 years of age by the exam date -Applicants must be legal residents of Westchester, Nassau, Putnam, Rockland, or Bronx Counties -Filing fee of $50 (check or money order only) must be included with application -High School Diploma or GED required at time of appointment -United States citizenship required at time of appointment -Valid New York State Class D Driver's License required at time of appointment (See further notes at joinYPD.com) Starting pay at the time of appointment is $70,229; a salary that rises to $106,707 after five years of service (exclusive of overtime and benefits).
