Meet The VW Armadillo! This wild fusion of a 1956 VW bus and an old Airstream, brought to life by Ruben Martin. What started as a panel bus with a cutout, and a neglected trailer in the woods has become one of the most creative camper builds we’ve ever seen. Ruben extended the bus frame by 3 feet, trimmed the Airstream down by 6 feet, and meticulously blended the two into a seamless ride. Two years of craftsmanship came together to create this incredible rig. We had the chance to camp alongside Ruben and experience his creation firsthand. Everyone who passed by couldn’t help but stop and stare. This video gives you a closer look, though even the best footage can’t quite capture how amazing it is in person.
