Koh Chang, Thailand. 🪸🐠🤿 The surrounding islands off the main island of Koh Chang in SE Thailand has some of the bluest waters and amazing snorkeling in the world around incredible intact corals. You can take several types of boat tours to the islands and each company is a little different and inexpensive. This boat ride was interesting because it was about 95% Thai people out of about 300 people, which is rare for touristic and expat popular Thailand where you can often be surrounded by only or mostly other foreigners. THAT WAS GREAT! It made me super happy to see that and I spoke to a few of them, they were from all different Provinces all around Thailand. The coral, beaches, and multitude of brightly colored sea life were all incredible. (I even saw some squid) plus the lunch was good. Koh Chang with the April tides and murky water had not been as beautiful as I remember from being here in November, so super happy to find some of that turquoise sea water. And too hang out with other Thai people. I have a theory why so many Thais were on this boat and in this region. This April has been some of the worst ever air pollution for Thailand and one of the hottest for temperatures on record. A double-whammy and you can even feel it down here but more North like Chang Mai, Bangkok, and more, I heard it's unbearable. Many records around the country have been shattered and with the humidity, it can feel about 100-130° F (38-54° C) degrees depending on where you are. Also, it's burning season so people light intentional fires to burn excess plant material and garbage, unfortunately. Some places around Thailand have had hazardous air this month. I think industrial and transportation emissions add to that. So many Thais came down to the sea to cool off and have some fun on the weekend. AWESOME. Earth Day! Love your Earth. Save the seas from getting too warm. Save precious delicate corals that are bleaching around the world. Protect the multitude of sea species. Fight against air pollution! Save places like this! Koh Chang entire island chain is one huge National Park that is protected. Props to the Thai govt for that. #earthday If you like this video drop a comment below, like this video, subscribe and consider donating to my channel.
