In Conversation with Marie Hohtanz was a long-time Sunday night staple on CFCN Television. Over the years Marie interviewed hundreds of authors, playwrights, actors, singers, musicians - you name it. She was one of the best in the business and highly regarded by those she interviewed - people like Pierre Burton appeared on In Conversation more than three times that I (Brian Vos) recall over the years I directed the studio tapings and on-location shoots. Ted Knight, Margaret Atwood, James Woods, Farley Mowat, Meryl Streep (before she was famous) Premier Peter Lougheed, local legends and the list goes on. This interview with Kris Kristofferson was shot at the Jubilee Auditorium following Kris' concert in the fall of 1980, 40 years ago. The interview was shot on 16mm film, transferred to tape and edited for broadcast. Cinematographer was Derek Undersholtz. On a personal note, Marie was probably the most kind, patient and professional on-camera person I have ever worked with. Always totally prepared and a consummate interviewer with a most polite and considerate demeanor. Marie's production assistants included Loy Becker, Betty Park, Sandra Jonsson, Jan Jorgenson and Betty "K". Her studio crew members included Joe Klepick, Carman Dawley, Dennis Southgate, Dennis Wilson, Peter Podesser, Neil Scott, Mike Twiss, Kevin Green and a host of others that slip my mind. NOTE: This is a standard definition video (4:3) and may not look crisp and clean like an HD video. Picture quality may vary depending on your playback device. Looks best on phones or tablets. For playback on a computer, scaling the picture to less than full screen will provide best results. Best size is an image width of six inches.
