This feature takes advantage of advanced in-body image stabilization system control, capturing multiple pixel-shifted images that are later composited using Imaging Edge(TM) desktop software to achieve overwhelming resolution in a single image. In addition to 4-image composite, the α7R IV is capable of producing 16-image composite with approximately 240.8 million pixels (19008 x 12672 pixels) from data that is equivalent to approximately 963.2 million pixels. The result is photographs with detail and presence that are simply stunning.
